Episode 1 is the first episode of Series 6.
In Episode 1 of Series 6 (US Season 3), a new round of twelve bakers are tasked with creating cakes for their very first challenge.
Signature Challenge[]
The bakers must create a Madeira cake that has a cracked dome on top. They are given two hours.

Technical Challenge[]
The bakers are given 1.75 hours to make Mary's Frosted Walnut Cake. The three-layer cake must be filled with buttercream, iced with a boiled icing, and topped with 10 candied walnuts.
