Chetna Makan was born in India and trained as a fashion designer in Mumbai. She moved to Broadstairs, Kent in 2003 with her husband.
Her bakes blend flavors from traditional Indian and British recipes.
She has two children.
Chetna's first book 'The Cardamom Trail' was released in the UK on April 21st, 2016 and in the US on May 3rd, 2016.
